What is the Emotion Code®?

The Emotion Code® was created by Dr. Bradley Nelson, a chiropractor and the author of the bestselling book The Emotion Code. It is a simple, gentle method used by certified practitioners around the world.

Jessica has been a certified Emotion Code® practitioner since 2018. She works with adults, children, couples, and animals.

The idea behind it is simple: your body knows what is wrong. The Emotion Code® gives it a way to answer.

How does a session work?

A session is simple and calm.

Here is what happens:

Your body answers yes or no questions.

Jessica uses muscle testing, a gentle way of asking the body simple questions. Your subconscious knows what is stuck, even when your thinking mind does not.

The imbalance is identified.

Each trapped emotion is found by name, like grief, worry, or anger, and often the age or event it came from.

It is released

Jessica swipes a magnet, or her hand, over the Governing Meridian. This is a natural energy pathway the body already has. It runs from the forehead, up and over the top of the head, and down the back of the neck. A few swipes along this path release the trapped emotion for good.

That is it. The session is calm from start to finish, and many clients are surprised by how easy it feels.

Three things that surprise people

You do not have to talk about it. This is not therapy. There is no need to retell your story or explain your past. The body does the talking.

You do not have to relive it. Releasing a trapped emotion does not bring the pain back up. Most people describe the feeling as relief, like setting something down.

Distance does not matter. Sessions work in person, by phone or video call, or even by email. A session from across the world works the same as a session across the table.

Who is this for?

This work is for anyone who feels stuck: emotionally, mentally, or physically. Men, women, children, couples, and even pets.

The Emotion Code® for children

Children trap emotions just like adults do. A scary moment, a big change, or a loss can leave something stuck, and it often shows up as behavior: meltdowns, fears, trouble sleeping, or acting out.

Sessions with children are gentle and simple. A parent or guardian gives permission and stays involved the whole time. The child does not need to talk about anything or sit still for long.

Many parents notice calmer behavior and better sleep within a few sessions.

The Emotion Code® for animals

Animals have feelings too. A frightening event, a move, or losing a companion can trap emotions in a pet the same way it happens in people. They cannot tell us in words, but their behavior speaks for them: fear, aggression, grief, separation anxiety, or eating problems.

Animal sessions are easy and stress-free. They happen by phone or video with the owner present, or fully remotely. The animal does not need to do anything at all.

Jessica has worked with animals since 2018, from dogs and cats to birds and horses.

One client's story: Allison's dog was struggling. There was aggression, biting, and anxiety so severe that the dog would have accidents in the house every time she left. We found and released the trapped emotions behind those behaviors. Today the dog is calm, affectionate, and happy. No more aggression. No more biting. No more accidents when she is away.

The Heart-Wall

When the heart gets hurt, it protects itself. Grief, heartbreak, and loss can cause the body to build a wall of trapped emotions around the heart.

That wall protected you once. But it also blocks the good things. Love, connection, and joy have a harder time getting in or out. People with a Heart-Wall often say they feel numb, guarded, or stuck, even when life looks fine on the outside.

The Emotion Code® can find and release a Heart-Wall one emotion at a time. For most people, this takes about four sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

Think of it like this: you would not take one antibiotic pill and expect to be better. Releasing what has built up over a lifetime works the same way.

Many people feel a difference after one session. Most topics take three to four sessions to clear fully. A Heart-Wall usually takes about four.
